HANDS UP IF YOU'VE SEEN ROBERT-HOUDIN THIS MONTH!
Just checking on distribution of the November issue. Since we were a week late going into the mail, I was thinking it might effect the way Genii blankets the country:)
And, let me know what you think about those coin tricks of Dr. Sawa's!

Yes, my copy came last week. I was travelling so I'm unsure, but I think it arrived last Tuesday (Oct 22nd) in Sun Prairie, WI.
I'm sad that the book about Robert-Houdin is $200. It sounds phenomenal, but I don't think I can justify the price to my wife. Another well-kept magic secret. :(

Mine arrived nice and dry on October 29. The Sawa coin material is an incredible bonus. Thanks RK and Co. for another keeper. Amazingly, however, this issue got to me one week AFTER the November MUM, thereby reinforcing the weirdness of October.
Re: HANDS UP IF YOU'VE SEEN ROBERT-HOUDIN THIS MONTH!
It's a fantastic issue, and arrived in Boise, Idaho last week. The Christian Fechner article and illustrations were incredible, but you outdid yourself with the Dr. Sawa material. I'm sorry that more volumes of Dr. Sawa's material are not expected, but thank you for publishing these great ideas and routines here.
I also want to say that Jon Racherbaumer did all of us a service in presenting insights into the current fad of flourishes and its enthusiasts. Different strokes for different folks, but Mr. R made this trend more understandable. (I'm having trouble with that last statement, since I really appreciate Racherbaumer's work, but I'm always distracted by the verbiage.) Great job all around.
This issue is the kind of solid magical journalism many of us crave. It is one reason that I much prefer it to puff pieces of publicity, published by self-promoting prima donnas. (A reference to the competition, and to a recent issue of this esteemed magazine.) Hype and talent may be considerable, but the afternoon patrons in Las Vegas voted with their dollars and their feet. :genii:

This deja vu, man. I mean, didn't I already mention that I received it on 10/22 in another thread?

Richard, got it yesterday, and I can't wait to toy with the "Sleeve Shootout"! I just need to round up four small coins, four big coins, a coat with sleeves, a table, a bunch of nerve, a little timing, a lot of practice, some clever patter, and someone to watch me..oh forget it....

I received my copy last Thursday. I haven't got to the Sawa stuff yet. There's a lot of good reading in this issue.
