Re: CELEBRACADABRA

Frankly, I thought Lisa was robbed on the last one. Hal didn't do what he was asked -- that, in the end, should be what it comes down to. If I drive into a McDonald's and ask for a cheeseburger, if they give me a fish sandwich, they fail . If an agent calls me and says they want a snake escape, I do...

Nourdin, Magic is more than one or two parts, but remember, in the end, it's a performance art. Which means the end goal is to entertain the audience ... with good technical ability. If you spend all your time on learning sleights out of Erdnase, you'll make what the kids call a great "move mon...

As far as I'm concerned, she could have rolled a Zig Zag around the room and still have been performing strolling magic. Social norms come and go. But when you make something vanish and reappear repeatedly that could burn a hole in your skin, that's a lot more impressive than making a similar shaped object disappear. Ah, so that's why your pants were smoking last time I saw you. I really wanna see that act when you g...

I'd like to jump in here for a minute, from a somewhat different vantage point. Richard lives down in the heart of professional DC, which has been a very nonsmoking-oriented area since at least the 19 years ago when I left that area for here in Baltimore, so I'm not surprised at his opinion of the r...

As someone with an interest in card swords (and I own an El Duco), it it possible you could provide, or steer us to, a picture of the Merv Taylor sword? I'm also curious as to why you consider the Taylor to be superior, and what your criteria are.

Thanks!

1. Slow down. You're obscuring the magic.

2. Who are you trying to be? What are you telling the audience about you?

3. Get your cameraman a tripod, and ease up on all the fancy transitions -- less is more.

That's just for starters....
