*Marc Oberon died a horrible death with the WTF moment of the show - a weird floating alien along with a white UV spandex clad glow in the dark alien spawn that was closer to a high school experiment in black art. Making the costume change inside the trunk as quickly as it had to be made (and using the skimpy costumes she was famous for) meant that there were several near misses and wardrobe malfunctions. That is what the comment referred to.

Not to legitimise tony it’s worth mentioning that the majority of awards in performance arts (magic, circus, dance) basically follow the model of the Merlins, as do awards in architecture.

This isn’t a niche magic thing…

Thinking about this more- even if you did have “extra” copies whilst you could crazy glue them to be fixed they wouldn’t actually be examinable because of a core part of how the method works; You would have to make “real” duplicates. So buy one legitimately but expect to have to remake the original ...

Whilst I’m normally red hot on IP related issues I’d argue that if you have one legit version of this effect you could legitimately commission 3D print of the extra gimmicks and duplicates of the core gimmick to match so that you could do the effect as you describe with the additional provers.
