Re: I Join Those Banned from The Magic Cafe

I guess you and I read that differently Pete. I took it that he was distressed that he was out of the country and couldn't be with his mother. As far as I know Steve and his family are all California natives.

Re: Ricky Jay - Deceptive Practices DVD

I did notice that you can buy the streaming version from Amazon Instant video for $14.99 SD and $19.99 HD for release tomorrow 9/13/13. I'll probably buy both the DVD and streaming so I can have it on my iPad.

Lot of CARC Erdnase Cards

I've decided to seriously thin out my reserve of playing cards. I'm trying to clear some space and frankly I am sick of storing these things. I have several of the CARC Erdnase themed playing cards that I would liek to sell as a lot only. I have approximately 115 decks. There are possibly a few more...

I met Zach through Lance Pierce a few years ago at the Dallas Super Session. Like Zach said above don't judge the feature only by the trailer. I think this is a good trick. Re: What's the best magic book you've found at a bargain books store?

I picked up Card College #1,3,4, and 5 for $12 each at a Half Price Books in Arlington last year. A few weeks later I picked up Bound to Please, The Aronson Approach, Simply Simon, and Dear Mr. Fantasy (Bannon) for about $45.

He's doing a lot of press for AGT. Maybe he'd do a phone interview or something. You got to Michael Caine for his movie....and by the way....that was AWESOME.

Re: A bad night for magic

The magician was terrible. On the other hand the contortionist, Turf, was amazing....as Brad mentioned. The guy who had the "Earth Harp" was pretty awesome as well. I've never watched AGT until this season...mainly because I'm a diehard Stern fan. He's often mentioned on his show that he i...

Re: L&L Publishing eBooks

I should have elaborated. When I refer to marginal cost I'm referring to the cost to produce one additional unit. In the case of the eBook, the costs are the same regardless of whether you sell one copy of an eBook or thousands of copies of an eBook. The time, technology, and all other costs are upf...

Re: L&L Publishing eBooks

I agree and think the DRM is a waste of time and that you shouldn't worry about it too much. I would guess that the marginal cost of an ebook is $0, so you only have to deal with the fixed costs of royalty fees, licensing, scanning the books, etc. I think the trick is finding a good price point that...

Are there any terms that we should know about the ebooks? For example, are we allowed to print them? Will the Elmsley Books be "e-published"? Will see any unpublished manuscripts (ie-MINT III)? Last question..do you ever plan to reprint hard copies out of print titles (such as Impossibilia...

Why do we have to be sad for one or the other? I feel bad for his victims, I feel bad for him, I feel bad for his family. In Dallas recently a young man was killed by a group of teenagers.
