Re: Uri Geller bibliography - a request

Hi Bob, You're undoubtedly right; there's a lot more I could do along the lines you mentioned. Because being hosted by my ISP was free and convenient I never bothered to register my own domain. Perhaps after 8+ years it's time to reconsider. As a rule I have tended to include a link in my signature ...

Uri Geller bibliography - a request

I'd like ask a small favour of the members here. Due to technical problems my website, Uri Geller - a bibliography (http://www.zem.demon.co.uk) has been down for some time and as a consequence has slipped down the rankings almost into obscurity. At one time it was number three on Google when searchi...

Re: David Berglas Reveals - Nearly Everything (Dutch performers especially please look!)

Berglas's roulette system is a minor variant of the Labouchere or 'cancellation' system. Like its predecessors it doesn't work.

Re: METAL BENDING

I emailed Mr. Spinney with a tip for eliminating or at least reducing the visible stress on the thumb but received no reply. Sean, I'm sure there's a long waiting list for your demo vid but I'd like to add my name to it if possible.

Al Mann bibliography

I've just compiled a bibliography covering the majority of Al Mann's releases. It's rather "rough and ready" with the descriptions being taken from ads on eBay but it serves the purpose.

Re: Tommy Cooper

An acquaintance of mine had the good fortune to pick up a number of Tommy's original props from his widow for a ridiculously low price. Amongst other things he now owns Tommy's Chop cup along with the notes that Tommy made for the routine!

Re: TV Archive

Hi Grant - No you're not crazy, the site you're probably thinking of is British Pathe\'s which conains many old newsreels from the 30's through to the 70's. Do a search on their homepage for "magic" & "magicians" and you'll be rewarded with a few vintage gems. Be warned thoug...

Re: Yuval Kerren's Bending Coin

Uri Geller has never asked anyone to sign or mark anything before bending it, that says something. Bending a borrowed and signed coin is a superb magic trick, it just depends on what you want people to believe.

George Armstrong - "Magic Wand" Publications

Does anyone know who holds the copyright for the books published by George Armstrong & "Magic Wand Publications"? (I'm assuming he's dead). Were the rights purchased by another dealer or did they pass to his surviving relatives? I was thinking of "donating" an html version of...

Re: Was Uri the first?

At the risk of sounding glib the fact that this effect has been promoted by Uri for the best part of 30 years explains a lot of its popularity. Also, while there are many metal objects to choose from few are more familiar to most people than cutlery and keys, and in his early career Uri was bending ...

Was Uri the first?

Who originated spoon-bending? The obvious answer is of course Uri Geller, but both James Randi and T.A. Waters have suggested that a very similar effect to the one Uri does appeared in Abra magazine in 1968. While asking around on this someone suggested that David Berglas may have claimed that he wa...
