Re: Dean Dill estate up for sale.

To make it simple, go to http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/ and click on the link in the upper left where my red arrow points in the clip: http://www.toadworks.com/images/hpdd.jpg By my count, at least fifty items have already sold and disappeared from the site, act quickly. Dean Dill estate up for sale.

Items from Dean Dill's estate are up for purchase (not an auction) on the Hocus-Pocus web site. There is some great stuff there.

http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/

I am not connected with Hocus-Pocus except as a customer. Just thought many of you would like to get in while the sale is fresh.

Re: Stephen Minch's Writing Advice

Not wishing to be thought of as someone who takes themselves too seriously, I shall retreat from the discussion and go listen to some music. Perhaps a little Simon and Garfunkel and Peter and Gordon and Paul and Paula. After all, my wife says they like it.

Re: Stephen Minch's Writing Advice

I use the Oxford Comma because it clarifies writing, and that's the only reason. Anyone else read the book "Eats, Shoots and Leaves"? What I care about most is clarity and simplicity. Richard, you need not feel that you are abandoning your preference for the American idiom in this regard....

Re: Stephen Minch's Writing Advice

I find totally repugnant such phrases as, "When a baseball player says to themselves..." yet I see this construction on a daily basis. Horrid.

Re: offline access on the iPad app

The good news is:

So far, both of my Android devices, a smartphone Samsung Note 3, and my brand new Acer Iconia One 8, seem to be working just fine, including reading issues offline.

Re: offline access on the iPad app

I am experiencing the same thing. I alluded to this in the other thread. Yesterday, I uninstalled and re-installed the iPad app. I went online and downloaded the latest three issues for offline viewing. (My settings allows for storing three issues,; I was aware of that setting.) When I then went off...

Re: "No current subscription" error

The apps on my iPad 2 and my Samsung Note 3 have been working properly for four days now, so things are looking better. A real test will come when the April issue goes online. By the way, iOS 8.2 is now available for the iPad. I am running it now. Seems okay. I don't want to confuse the issue, but I...

Re: "No current subscription" error

Just for kicks, I downloaded the app on my iPad again and it appears to be working normally for me.

Hurrah. :D :D :D :D :D

Let's hope it keeps working. I see you have not yet announced a fix, so I assume it is still being worked on.

Re: Entire book collection for sale. Selling Individually no

I was curious about the pricing of The Vernon Chronicles also. The set can be bought new for less than half the asking price here. I would not normally try to sour someone's deal, but this whole business sounds a bit strange.

Sorry. Neither my iPad 2 nor my Note 3 acts any different than my earlier description. I do not know what changed things, but until this condition existed at least I was able to uninstall, reinstall, and have access. As it stands now, I cannot access iGenii on either mobile device.

Re: "No current subscription" error

What is most curious to me is why are only a few of us affected by these anomalies? I had thought that updating the OS might be the cause or the cure, but that seems to have been eliminated.

Thank you for your efforts to get this fixed. Hopefully it will happen before my next trip.

Re: Swimsuit Model "Magic"

I have only been to the Castle a few times, but I appreciate the dress code. Who wants to sit next to a hairy legged man in shorts, wearing a baseball cap while he eats? It ain't McDonald's. It is a private night club.

Re: Penn & Teller on CBS Sunday Morning 1/25/15

I just saw their show at the Rio this week. It was a fabulous experience, all around, but I do have to agree that the Magic Bullet effect does seem a bit anti-climactic. Firstly, we already know what is going to happen, so there is no surprise. Secondly, after the "catch," there is a delay...

It is my unauthoritative opinion that NPH made a poor decision to participate in this exposure, however, I speculate that whatever damage has been done would only be worsened by a headline in Variety reading "Neil Patrick Harris Dismissed From AMA For Exposing Magic Trick."
