Re: WTB: Expert at the Card Table Facsimile Edition 2002

Those who clearly know nothing about the special nature of this particular edition should probably keep quiet rather than speculate to the detriment of others who are selling/would like to sell? Clearly some people think this is just another old edition of EATC - they should do some research before ...

Re: PAUL DANIELS WARDROBE MALFUNCTION

Gotta say.... who gives a s**t what Paul Daniels wears on holiday? A lot of old men wear socks with sandals or shoes - it's not pretty, but do we really care? It it "news"? And Debbie is 50+ is she not? Do we expect her to still have the body of a 20 year old? Gimme a break..... The only t...

Re: Rings 'N' Thing II going belly up

Jim Riser's cups are also of the highest quality. I have several sets of his cups and they are all flawless in terms of production quality as well as being a dream to handle. Jim is also another one of those vendors who provides the highest standard of customer service.

Re: Rings 'N' Thing II going belly up

I bought one of the early sets of the Sherwood silver cups - they are of outstanding quality. So much so I also bought a smooth set and kicked myself for not getting the gold ones. Luckily I got a chance to make up for that when Brett did the second run of his gold cups. Unfortunately the engraving ...

Re: Mysterious book

Perhaps a good thing for the publisher to do would be to state that "in case demand exceeds supply, buyers will be limited to one copy per person" - that way, people could pre-order multiple copies of they so desired, and if the demand fell short of the print run, they would receive all th...

Well, Bill, I can certainly see why you might have been upset with those. I have to say that, as a collector, I would have returned them right away anyway! Hmmmmm - yes I agree - you ARE being pedantic ;o) You used an analogy that didn't hold up - the point is that the champenoise (thanks for the correct spelling, BTW ;o) label indicates that it is not champers, but made in the same way - in the STYLE of - (and therefore to many will taste the same.......

Re: Kaufman Expert Coin Magic - Whats The Value?

Mike,

When Richard was clearing out his attic last year I bought a "brand new" copy of this - absolutely pristine - and paid $75 for it.

I would htink $75-100 is fair, though you never know what you might get on eBay?

Chris,

My point exactly - they need to resist the urge to pack in too much functionality and keep the cost down.

But then you will have those who complain that they have to carry TWO computing devices around, so why can't their eBook reader sync with Outlook.... difficult to draw the line
