Re: 5-Way Colouring Book

Hi Mark,

What's 12 years between friends... :D Appreciate the response.

I'm sure I still have this tucked away somewhere. If I can dig it out I'll be in touch.

Cheers

Australian card guy Dean Atkinson was working on a handling for this some three or four years back. Not sure if it was original with him, or if inspiration came from elsewhere?

While 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' is no longer on the air... I rmember watching when I was younger and it seemed that Amazing Jonathan was on there every couple of weeks.

In hindsight it surely wasn't that often, but he was on that show a lot!!

Re: Who is this guy?

The magic community here in Queensland isn't that big, and I've never heard of this fellow. I'm guessing either:

a) He's using a false name

or

b) He's just bought a heap of secrets to resell with no real interest in magic.

My feeling is that it's more likely the latter.

Derek Dingle Video

I recently had the good fortune to acquire the IMS Video of Derek Dingle's "Routined Card and Coin Magic". This was the first time I had ever seen Derek work and was excited to see some of the effects from his book performed by the man himself. I'm interested if anyone knows much of the ba...

Also for some unique variations take a look at Jay Sankey's Revolutionary Coin Magic tape.

Along with using a cover-all backup (ie: iomega) I'd also suggest scrapping IE and moving onto to something much more stable and reliable.

Something like Mozilla Firefox is, in my opinion, far superior to IE on so many levels. In the two years I've been using it I'm yet to have a hang-up of any kind!

Just for fun... what effects/moves/sleights/etc. published by a legend of magic (Vernon, Marlo, Hamman, etc.) was, in your mind, a complete dud :) I remember in a post a short time back, RK mentioned that Bro John Hamman's 'Runic Nines' was 'an experiment that failed'.... Any others come to mind???

Having picked up the new Bro. John DVD's I like the idea of some of the 'Count Back' effects. Problem: The countback move allows you to get rid of the 4th card in a 5 card series. One point I don't believe is noted in the book, unless it slipped by me, is the tightness of grip.

From experience, do you find a soft, Guy Hollingworth type touch, or death grip to be most beneficial?
