Re: The 60th Performance of “It’s Magic”

No, Darren was very ill. He would have had to fly across the country in that condition and then perform and fly back, which would have been nuts. Darren is a workaholic, worse than me, closer to David Copperfield. He needed the rest. I realize why he stayed, but to be honest, I was disappointed, I l...

Dustin Thank you for your kind words. I would only add that Elena Brocade's work on the Feather Suspension makes it what it is. She engages and disengages herself instantly and her angles in the air, developed through years of training in the circus arts, are stunningly beautiful. Elena... take a bow.

I believe this is the Double Levi with Kanoe Mann and myself. A beautiful illusion to present for performers who are comfortable in the air, and Kanoe and I are. As I have mentioned before, I discovered on the day of filming the illusion that my good friends David Goldrake and his wife were injured ...

The feather suspension, which I call "Ariel", is still in transition. For Illusionist. Whenever you buy a new illusion, everything changes. Illusions require so much energy that to approach them a la carte, is foolish. Each time you add a new piece, all the others are affected. If they're ...

It's difficult to appreciate the amazing growth in technology and performance that this effect has experienced in the last 50 years. Technically, it isn't. If an object rises but is still in contact with a stationary object, it's a suspension. Even place a an object in the air where it remains motionless, is still a suspension. A levitation means the object floats free of any support and moves: floats up, floats down, floats all ...
