Re: Marcello Truzzi --> Association for Skeptical Investigation

I am not debating the topic. You posted an interesting idea to me with links. Links to exactly what you mentioned would have been nice. I will check out Dean Radin. Thanks. As I said, I am not bound to the "material only" restrictions placed by many "science" advocates, but it se...

Re: Marcello Truzzi --> Association for Skeptical Investigation

I went through to the first page you had a link to in your post. Quite an interesting opening segment - a written critical savlo at the other side because they engage in similar tactics. The first article was simply about wikipedia editiorial issues - not "sciience." Who cares? The second ...

Re: Marcello Truzzi --> Association for Skeptical Investigation

I wonder what the proposed theories are for the mode of the physical transmission of whatever information is of interest in the varied tests that may be used. Without a mode of physical transmission, I don't see where "science" is all that useful.

I had my wrist struck while being the participant in a MAK wrist chopper demo. We had just had one delivered to the magic shop I helped out at part-time. The owner wanted to show it to me and another person in the shop. As I put my hand in from the back of the item, I noticed a window that was alrea...

Many good items have already been mentioned. Here are a few more memorable slum magic from my magic shop days. Those days were long ago so these were available for about $2 or less back then. Odd Ball by Royal - probably my favorite. Zip Zip was similar, but I didn't care for it as much. It had the ...

Re: Did Tenyo screw up this optical illusion?

Just guessing here, but I think the ruler prop and the differences seen using it would be less dramatic if one used shorter/squattier "boomerangs." Perhaps in the standard version using just two pieces, the Sakkaku cats might not be such a good choice but it works very well with the curren...

I think we need to know more about the context of the statement to have much of an opinion on it. In some settings, pretending is fine. In other settings, it isn't well received. There are three aspects of a deck that are critical to making it appeal to me for use in magic and I think many other magicians would agree with these. 1. A white border on the back. 2. White faces 3. The faces need to match the standard decks magicians work with: Bicycle Rider Backs, Tally-Ho Circl...

Re: How to unstick a shell? (billiard ball)

I would imagine you only want to heat up the shell to have it expand, so if the ball was also in the hot water I don't think that would work well.

Try a hair dryer - as much as possible just on the shell.

If heat doesn't work, try freezing it.
