Your question lacks context for performing conditions. Are you talking about a stand-up routine or one in which the performer may be seated? Is a close-up mat (or comparable surface) part of the performing conditions? There is lots of superb coin routines, but favorites invariable are tied to condit...

I got to know Dave quite well in the mid-late 1980s when he was living in suburban DC. He was friendly (as was his wife) and most generous and helpful. I can't speak to what Dave was like in his younger years, but curmudgeon is the last word I would describe how he treated me and others with a serio...

I met Bobby Bernard at the Magic Circle in the summer of 1987 when I was a very young guy passing through London during my two year adventure of being a full-time magician (pre-law school). After I showed Bobby and Pat Page some coin tricks, he was most kind and generous with his time. He also share...

Ivan was on the Arsenio Hall show in the last year or so (a Google search should yield a link). He has excellent chops and does some strong and original magic (he took 2nd place in the IBM close-up contest the year John George won it).

Any guy tossing 3 cards on a cardboard box with at least 2 people watching and winning. Or playing the shell game with bottle tops. I've seen some terrific performances (laudable skill; too bad they really were cheating (greedy/dumb) people out of some serious coin).

As of now, the price is a bargain. Adjusted for inflation, the high bid is less than what I paid in 1999 or 2000 (I forget which) for the copy that I bought from Ted Lesley (who brokered the deal for a friend's widow).
