Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

Haha...I'm referring to working the numbers and business planning rather than wishful thinking. But, I suppose there are some parallels :)

Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

I'm confident that, if you (or anyone else) want to make it as a full-time pro, there is some formula that will work for you. If your local market cannot support you, you could either move or travel. If the corporate or trade show market doesn't work, try kids shows or restaurant work etc. Just like...

Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

Hi Harry, I agree with you: great to know what others are charging in a specific niche on a per-gig basis (especially for a less-geographically influenced market such as trade shows). This can help in positioning oneself appropriately in the marketplace. However, the poster wanted to know about aver...

Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

I agree that if you are looking to buy a fast food franchise, such a number would be useful. Franchise systems are extremely formulaic: you cannot operate outside of the strict manual, your product is exactly the same as others, served in the same way, store design exactly the same as others, and yo...

Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

Why does it matter? What someone else makes (or the average of many) has essentially (or likely literally) nothing to do with what you can do or ultimately will do. It's like asking "what does the typical small-business owner make annually?". You'll get the ones who are bankrupt and those ...

Re: How To Book A Country Club Gig

Lou's back! Missed your posts! As usual, great advice. Personally, I'm thinking that Winnipeg is VERY different from California. Here, most country clubs are run by the city and flat-out broke (current the city is trying to sell them). The private clubs are small and have few non-golf perks. However...

Re: How I Almost Lost My Life and The Lesson I Learned

Yes, the holiday season (and the entire year) is a recorder breaker for me! Thanks. I have no doubt you're doing well too. I do appreciate the content you provide and, for what it's worth, I think that it's great content to have in this section. You offer value first and foremost and your sincerity ...

Re: Website review needed

Interesting about the on-line form comment - that what nearly all my interested prospects choose to contact me. They fill in way more detail than Dynamike has and it has worked very well. My experience is that an on-line form is a good thing.

Re: How did you get interested with magic?

Grade 3, 8 years old. Teacher offered topics for a project. I picked "magic". Objective: write a 1-page report and perform a short magic show for the class. "Cool!" I thought. Never stopped and still think it's cool.
