Re: Jim Alfredson has Died

This is really sad news.

I have many fond memories of Jim over the past thirty some years. I will miss sharing a laugh or two with Jim, while enjoying a beverage after a day full of lectures at our collectors conventions.

RIP Jim. I will miss you.

Re: Trade-Show Magician Mark Phillips in Wash Post

Wow, That is a great article Mark. Congratulations! I have had the pleasure of working at many trade shows that Mark was performing at, both here and abroad, including one in Birmingham, England where as I recall - we worked across the aisle from one another. He is a class act, extremely professiona...

Must see for Magic Lovers - Limited time

WOW, having just left The Hudson Museum in Yonkers, NY. I can tell you that I havent felt this much sense of wonder, since the time I cracked opened the pages to The Master Magicians by Walter Gibson as a first grader in my elementary school library. Stepping into the roughly 10,000 square foot disp...

Re: Magic Collectors Weekend in May

David Ben has been doing a wonderful job hosting the MCA weekend. I agree with Richard that there is no better value for your dollar. Even if you possess just the smallest interest in magic history, you would be doing yourself a BIG favor by attending. The cream of the crop in the field of magic his...

Re: Burton Sperber has Crossed Over

This is a sad loss for magic. I will hold dear to me, the fond memories of spending the day with Bert at his lovely home in Malibu and going through and admiring his exquisite magic collection. Even more impressive to me was looking out over the ocean and watching the whales migrate right in front o...

WOW,

I just got my Ultimate Thayer Book Set and I am simply blown away!

They are the most beautifully produced magic books I think I have ever seen!

If you haven't sold out yet, I would like to order two more sets as gifts for friends.

Thanks,

A Magical Moment I will never forget. I would like to share a story with the forum readers about one of the greatest magical moments I ever saw. In 1989, I was in Paris with a friend and we decided to go to The World Famous Crazy Horse. We had no idea of whom we would see, but the Crazy Horse was kn...
