Re: Do you own an "Anything Is Possible" bottle?

I own one after I won it on the 816 magic podcast from one of their contests. Looks great on my desk! Great work Jamie!

Re: street magic

Fair enough. And you are by no means being arrogant. Anyone who has been there should be listened to over those of us who have not. I respect your opinion. But can we both agree Magia should eventually read the theory stuff? If he wants to concentrate on busking, then he can go out of his way to foc...

Re: street magic

Thanks for your thoughts Ian. And no heat here. Just discussion. :) No. I've never done busking. But I do know what I like when it comes to watching performers. :) So I've been on that side of it! ;) And I was just talking about that aspect of it. I know there is much, much more to it as far as how ...

Re: street magic

Ian, I respectfully disagree. Because it's not about the magic. or the venue. It's about the entertainment from the audience's perspective. Just as when a person attends college they don't only study their one narrow field that they want their degree in. They study a broad range of courses. The know...

Re: street magic

Well, I am not actually doing it now, to cold, not enough practice, but soon. First nice, spring, day, on the weekend. Until then, and in between practicing, get and read the following books: Strong Magic by Darwin Ortiz and Maximum Entertainment: Director's Notes for Magicians and Mentalists by Ke...

Re: Jumbo McCombical Deck

I use jumbo movie cards of all different movies in packet A and a bunch of the same movies in packet B and continue ala the normal McCombical. Audiences can relate much better to movies than they can to a 4 of clubs :) Plus the different movies gives you great fodder for jokes. I have tons of duplic...

Re: It 's not magic, but...

There was a show recently on History or maybe PBS on some of the stuff that British and US intelligence produced to help POWs. The stuff was sent to them in their Red Cross packages. One was a cribbage board that was a radio! This board reminded me of some of the stuff produced by Fabrice Delaur, b...

FS: Large Movie Cards-Lots of Duplicates for McCombical, Pop-Eyed Popper, etc.

I have a number of movie cards that went along with DVDs for rental stores to use. These are not the thin paper inserts. They are actually a bit larger by length and width than a DVD case, thus they are a bit larger than Jumbo Bicycle Cards. These are fairly thick card stock -- about the thickness o...

Re: "When I want something new, I read an old book"

That reminds me of the old saying that goes along the lines of, "If you want to keep an effect secret, publish it"!

Re: How did you get interested with magic?

My Dad did magic and that got me started. So I was into it by the time a man named Doug Henning came to town back in the 70s. That sealed the deal.
