Re: Artanis Deck Hopping Technique

I am truly grateful for your feedback David. I am just as excited to experience your level of workmanship as I am to learn more about the life and artistry of the legendary Herb Zarrow. Please continue to keep the magic community updated w/ all of your new and upcoming projects because we're always ...

Artanis Deck Hopping Technique

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can acquire more detail on the tabled "deck hopping" technique by Joe Artanis? I would really appreciate as much feedback as I can get on this due to the lack of resources available. Thank you guys for your generosity.

Re: China Travel Alert

I'm a little bit apprehensive about who gave you this information, although... you seem to be genuinely concerned. People mostly likely to be at risk for this disease are those who already have "major health complications." These would include things such as: sleep apnea, obesity and liver...

Re: China Travel Alert

Well, if you're only looking to keep your forehead cool for 1-2 minutes after removing the ice pack, by all means, just use the ice pack. =) Peace.

Re: China Travel Alert

Ice packs will only keep your body temperature cooler for a small amount of time. The best way to lower your overall body temperature is to actually drink ice cold water which will circulate through your bloodstream much more quickly and efficiently than an ice pack on the forehead. In reply to Davi...

Re: Hiro Sakai Magicana

It's like you said... it's about context. As artists, we do not strive to fool out of arrogance or malice but with an intent to create art that appeals to our spectators. Let's pretend my audience member is an amateur magician. If I'm performing a slow motion "stud center deal" for a magic...

Re: how to publish a trick!

Along with what Chris said, it may serve you well to first get some sort of notarization or stamp in a post office on your documented idea to prove an official date so that no one else may take credit for it later in the future. I'm sure there are more conventional ways of going about that but at le...

Re: Coin Matrix

I'm not much into coin magic but you might want to checkout Dean Dill's "Intimate Coin Miracles" and "Coin Magic 2000" videos. His "Simple Matrix" and "Matrix Backfire" are the only Matrix effects that I actually perform. Shoot Ogawa has some of the most uniqu...

Re: Steve Forte update?

Wow... I wasn't aware that he said he was there to "observe their methods." If he was just their to "observe," would this mean that he'd be an actual participant of the scheme? Are people legally allowed to voluntarily witness a crime and not report it? Either way, I've seen some...

New David Blaine Performance

I just wanted to comment on David Blaine's misdirection here during his "watch stealing effect." I thought it was pretty awesome with Ellen also having the nerves to just turn around and put the watch on while David misdirects everyone's attention especially with the camera viewing the big...
