Re: Mighty Wallets

I have been using Mighty Wallets for years, and do enjoy them. They certainly trigger conversations when I'm paying for something. I use the airmail envelope design. I have tried to contact the company several times to inquire about custom printing my own designs. I could provide them with a .AI or ...

Re: Bruce Cervon's Castle Notebooks Volume 1

Can someone PM (or email) me Louis Falanga's email address. I would like to share with him some thoughts on how to fairly release the next volumes so that it is possible to eventually buy all four volumes. Thanks.

Re: Joyal Stack: system or memorized stack?

The Joyal Stack does not have any built-in effects (that I am aware of). It was designed expressly for quick memorization. Martin's book "The Six Hour Memorized Deck" does deliver on its promise -- I was able to memorize his stack in about six cummulative hours. I ended up switching to the...

Re: Joyal Stack: system or memorized stack?

As best as I can tell, the defining aspect of a system is that the knowledge of one card will allow you to determine the value of the next card in the stack based on a rule. The Si Stebbins deck is a simple system, and the Osterlind Breakthrough Card System is a much more ingenious system. In both c...

Re: December Issue of Genii in the Mail!

Well, I got mine today. No polybag, but the USPS did repackage the magazine and DVD (!) in one of their "we're sorry we damaged your stuff" envelopes. There was no address label, so I have to wonder how it got to me.

Re: Will technology overtake the card manipulator?

I've had a chance to interact (hands on) with many different samples, working demos, and variations of e-ink. While it is amazing and incredibly impressive, there is no doubt that it is not real paper. The current exectutions have a "plasticy" look and feel to them. I don't doubt that ther...

Card Back Designs Collection

I recently saw a great web site that had a sample of back designs from just about every conceivable brand of playing cards. If I recall correctly, it may have listed it as brands magicians use. I have desparately tried to find that site again, but to no avail. If this soounds familiar, and you remem...

Re: Your View: ebooks or printed books?

Check out www.eink.com for a look at what WILL make ebooks practical. I've had a chance to see this stuff live, and I can tell you that it looks and feels like paper, yet it has all of the benefits of digitized content. I've heard that there will be a consumer product using this technology in the no...

Re: Stackview.com

Hi. I'm to blame. (And brand new on the Genii Forum.) I hope you have no problems with the software -- I had some early glitches with the installation/setup program, but I now have that solved. I'd love to hear what you think, and any ideas you may have for new features.
