Re: Zig-zag girl with cylinders pushed through?

Q., I submit that it doesn't matter if it's the Kub Zag, Zig Zag or even Copperfield's "Flying," audiences simply want to be entertained. The audience knows the wires are there, but if they're enjoying the ride (presentation), they won't care. I mean, seriously...has anyone ever been *fool...

Re: Zig-zag girl with cylinders pushed through?

I've spoken with a number of great magical minds who tend to agree with Mr. Maven's assessment of the Mini Kub Zag.

Fortunately, most audiences don't feel the same way.

Re: Jigsaw through body

When traveling light for smaller shows (schools, churches, etc), I used a piano bench for my Jigsawing and Chainsawing. Those type of venues usually had one handy...and I had more space to pack props.

Re: Another interlude plan set sells on ebay.

Gee...those are the plans the Paul told me he never sold because they don't exist. Think that's the sixth set of them I've seen now. Interesting. BTW, all of Osborne's plans are oversized photocopies these days. Kind of a shame. The *real* blueprint-making process insures that the copies are the exa...

Re: Is Magic A "Red Flag" When You're Dating?

When we met, my Wife had no problem with my being a Magician.

..it was actually more of a stumbling block with my future In-Laws.

Re: Plans for illusion...

Aldo was referring to presenting a similar effect but using a different method to accomplish it.

...and why on Earth would you want to look like me?

Re: Plans for illusion...

I like what Aldo Columbini told me recently:

"I see a magic trick in a catalog and figure out how it works. I order it, look at it and it doesn't work like mine. I think mine's better. BOOM! I invented a new magic trick!"

I do the same thing with illusions all the time.

Re: I-800 numbers.....a dilema!

For 15 years I traveled all over the U.S. doing kid's shows and never had an 800 number. My mailings included reply postcards that required the sender to add their own postage. In my experience, if a potential client is too cheap to pay for a stamp or a phone call, they'll probably choke when I tell...

Re: Fire breathing resources?

As a former Fire Eater (four years with a sideshow), I can second all the motions and concerns listed above.

There is one advantage that most folks wouldn't know. Eating Fire on a regular basis does keep your moustache nicely trimmed.
