Re: O'Henry Aces-Source?

Philippe Billot wrote:Yes, Roger Smith seems to be the first to publish a Succession (or Progressive) Aces Assembly in his magazine The Necromancer, Vol. 1, no. 1, august 1970, page 6, but I haven't this issue, so I don't know his method, sorry.

Thats good enough. Thanks :)

Re: O'Henry Aces-Source?

More references on the O'Henry ending: Jack Carpenter combined it with Jazz Aces in his "O'Henry plays Jazz" from Jack Carpenter's Labyrynth special. Nothing fancy, using a standard switch. Rafael Benatar has a version in his lecture notes Countback and his DVDs, its based on a version by ...

Re: VHS - RIP

I still have couple of small-sized VHS ( with a player that plays them!), they contain footage of my 1st birthday! Time to convert them to DVDs .. I'm 22, I recall playing with VHS alot as a kid. We had a camcorder that records directly into VHS, after comparing it to the size of nowadays digital ca...

Re: Favourite Pass/card control

What he did was virtually identical to what I do, and he didn't ask my permission to publish it. Which is my point. I honestly get the impression that he wanted to publish it, yet avoiding to get permission he thought he had to add points so the publishing would seemingly go justified. This led to ...

Re: Favourite Pass/card control

When I was in Toronto with David Copperfield working on the Project Magic book, Ouellet was in his employ at the time. Gary asked me to teach him my Half Jiggle, which I did, and which he promptly put in his book without credit to me. To quote him, he says: "The arc of the right hand was the c...

Re: Favourite Pass/card control

No one's using Marlo ideas? there is a version of the Wrist turn pass in New Tops that is very useful ( the one with deck held deep, thumb at corner ), especially when sitting. While too covered, though very good. R. Paul Wilson has a nice cover for the Dr.Elliot pass. Joel Givens has a terrific pas...

Re: The Jennings book rumor vs Jennings Card Wright

What was the point? Dingle, Jennings, Hamman--who needs my own crap? I actually enjoyed a darn lot of your creations. World's Fastest Reverse, Fantasy Star ( I think thats the name, its in CardMagic ), 4-5-6 Aces, your poker and black jack demos as Open Travellers in CardWorks ( particularly the on...

Re: The Jennings book rumor vs Jennings Card Wright

Thanks for the info Kaufman. The Cardwright copy I found is for 100$, signed, which is why its expensive, but again, thats the only copy I found on ebay while back, hopefully cheaper options would pop up. Cheers, P.S feels weird talking to someone you look up to :P, your CardMagic book was a big inf...

The Jennings book rumor vs Jennings Card Wright

Hello, There are rumors here and there about Kaufman publishing a book on the complete works of Larry Jennings. Assuming that this is true ( which would be amazing ), I had a question in mind and thought its appropriate if I address it here, hopefully Mr.Kaufman can comment on it :) Will it include ...
