Dai Vernon Video

I am interested in video clips that Dai Vernon was in. If you know of any TV shows, DVD's, films, ect please list them here. I have most of the obvious marketed material...mainly interested in non-marketed material.

Re: Phantoms at the Card Table

Here is the Hit List letter from Eddie McGuire to T. Melson Downs: 10 Ellison St. Artic, R.I. June 17, 1926 My Dear Mr. Downs: Just arrived back here from New York - came home about two weeks sooner than I expected. The reason that I'm back sooner than I expected is that I found out that I was not g...

Re: Phantoms at the Card Table

James,

McGuire was certainly a "shifty" kind of guy. He apparently wrote to many magicians trying to sell the manuscript. The letter to Downs is quite long but I will sit down and type it out asap....

Re: Any advice on making flap/acro cards?

Make sure to wash the rubber dam before you try to use it. It is often found with a fine powder on it and this will hinder the adhesion. Then cut a piece of rubber to the size you desire and then stretch the piece of rubber (how much will be determined by experimenting) and tape it down to a piece o...

Re: Any advice on making flap/acro cards?

You will also find it helps to lightly sand the
surface of the card to rough it up a bit before
applying the rubber cement.
