Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal

I finished the book. I have spilled water, tomato sauce, rum and coke, curry, and toothpaste on it. I can give no higher compliment.

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal

Got home after a long, too-busy day. Pattie’s on her school trip, so I have double duty, then Robby broke the garage door window. Finally had a minute to myself, went into my office to do something I can’t remember. There’s a package sitting on my desk. This in itself is startling, as Tom Stoppard w...

You should just put "I've seen you work, this book is not for you" on a page in the intro, then sign under that. It would also make a great ad headline.

Looking for Fred Kaps routine

I was reading Henry Hay's Amateur Magician's Handbook and he mentions a Fred Kaps routine that I've never heard of. The basic idea is that Kaps is wearing a hand puppet of a little boy. Kaps produces a cigarette and lights it, but the puppet starts coughing and hides under Kaps' coat. So Fred vanish...

This pdf contains the word "erdnase" in a discussion that is clearly not about magic, but about nature and other things that make it more likely it refers to earth. Google does not translate "Erdnase," though. http://www.spielgruppe.ch/cm_data/fachtagung_programm__erdnasen_und_mo...

Damian,

Congrats. When someone records your show from the audience and posts it on youtube, send us the link. I would love to see it.

Also you should get Tony Sagittarius booked at the next Blackpool, then ask a spectator up from the audience, who turns out to be a sign language interpreter.

HeadGames: First off, you might want to consider either changing your screen name to reflect your actual name, or to put it in your sig. Some people here (and elsewhere) are more likely to share with someone whom they know. Second, if/when you ask about a method, you will get a much better response ...

Re: Three ideas for magic use

Jim, I've seen "sticky pads" like that. But my impression was that they are made to keep things from sliding off of them. Are they sticky enough to hold something upside down? In other words, could I buy one, cut two pieces out of it, and glue them together sticky sides out, and have somet...

Re: Rob Zabrecky Dances with the Dead

I'm not sure which scares me more: this movie, or the chance that watching this movie will make it impossible for me to ever talk to Rob Zabrecky without worrying that he'll kill me.

I'd better watch Rob's Happy video as an antidote:

Re: Best Version of Lubor Fiedler's Gozinta Boxes EVER

I wonder if you could start with a box, and say that inside it is a trash container. You open the box and take it out. Now what do you do with the box? You don't need it anymore, so you throw it away, by putting it in the trash container that came inside it. This has some rough edges—what is a trash...
