Re: Seeking roommate for 2014 IBMSAM combined convention

RK, Perhaps I'm seriously evil. Actually I was semi-serious. Grew up near SF's Chinatown. ALL of my early school classmates came from families that immigrated from Hong Kong. I speak more than a smattering of Cantonese and thought if Ben spoke the language it would be a cool happenstance. Gweilo-Gun...

Re: I Join Those Banned from The Magic Cafe

I am surprised one would care so much about the fleeting information posted, or removed, on one board or the other. To become a better magician, one should spend their time practicing and performing. Forums help me kill some time and hopefully guide me to an interesting trick or book to research an...

Doomo,

The ad looks to be very professionally made. Intro is snazzy, music sounds good and the product is intriguing.

I'm going to order one.

Glenn, Having recently spent some time in a third-world country, I can tell you all those things you speak of actually exist! Re: Magicians stealing

Nimrods on magic boards are not bound to presume someone is innocent until proven guilty. That meme is reserved for courts of law. We, the unshaven masses, can make accusations all we want to. Our Satyred friend, here on the Genii forum feels strongly about thievery in magic. That's a good thing. He...

Re: New Tenyo Elite! Zig Zag Cig in Wood!

I have fond memories of spending the money from my paper route on these cool tricks with Japanese writing on the packaging. Cubio, What's Next, Crazy Spots, Sutekina (had to look that one up) and my big closer, Silk Serenade. The tricks were inexpensive and available at a toy store that was near my ...

Re: Looking for magic quotes

Jon, Seneca's talking about some other stuff here: Then, too, the man who is asked whether he has horns on his head is not such a fool as to feel for them on his forehead, nor again so silly or dense that you can persuade him by means of argumentation, no matter how subtle, that he does not know the...

Crap,

I forgot to put the smiley thing on my post. (But, as you know Damian, if I'm posting, I'm joking)

I think the different smiley things have different meanings. I can't figure how to type a smiley for:

enter colon pound pound. It's funnier if you say it

Hugs,

Bob, I realize boxing all those books up would be a huge endeavor. I suspect if you were willing to undergo that onerous task you'd easily sell the whole magilla.
