Re: Hugards encycopedia of card tricks

This is a great book. Along with Scarne on Card Tricks, it was one of the first few books I had when I was young. The impromptu chapter is wonderful and what makes these books great is that after you progress along with sleights, you return to add some sleight of hand back to some of the self-workin...

I think some become collectable's because of who authored them. When Ricky first published that book it was priced normally. As Ricky became better known and the public became more aware of his prowess and skill, the book is worth more. In years to come, Vernon, Marlo, Lorayne, will become harder an...

I think mirrors and camera work well together. Both have their uses.

I always thought that when you showed your hand empty after presumably making a coin vanish from that hand, that a kid's perspective is, "if it isn't in this hand, it must still be there"! But then, it may depend on the age of the kid. Younger children have not learned "how to be fool...

The on thing I have learned over the years, is that you find a brief that is comfortable for you and work with it. I mean really practice. I think the term 'cardician' is applied to someone who is very adept with cards. Very adept in all facets with cards.
