Re: New from Kaufman and Company: The Skinner Tapes

Richard, I'm just wondering. I read that the CDs were produced after narrowing down from over 30 hours of audio. Were the recordings not included just repetitions of things he'd already discussed, or was it a quality issue? I'm assuming that you left out a lot that wouldn't interest most magicians. ...

Re: New from Kaufman and Company: The Skinner Tapes

I just put in my order for this set...can't wait!! After seeing the listings of what is on this series, I'm so excited to get to hear and view the whole set. What a wonderful piece of history on one of the greatest minds in magic...thank you so much for bringing this to us, Richard.

iGenii not showing all issues

Is this just a temporary thing as they are getting loaded in? There is a huge gap between May 1951 and April 2013.

Not going to mince words, folks...this really sucks...

Reports on another forum are saying that Aldo passed away. I'm searching for confirmation, praying it isn't true, but if true, this just sucks.

Re: WTB: Looking for a couple of back issues of MUM

Sorry...Dustin was right. I had replied to your PM but it must not have gone through. I'd had trouble getting back in during the transition, didn't think you wer replying to me, Rennie; appears you just hadn't received my reply PM.

I'll send another PM, had a question.

WTB: Looking for a couple of back issues of MUM

I'm looking for the May 1978 Irv Weiner cover issue, and also November 1988 with Robert Bluemle interview on Dr. Jaks. PM me if you have either available to sell.

Re: Looking for "Chronicles" and "Epilogue" by Fulves

I had the same problem about a month ago, finally connected with someone that had a used copy; you'll just need to keep searching for a used one, most likely won't find it new.

Good luck!

Re: Trying to track down a Michael Skinner routine

Well, after some extensive searching, I think I've found something: Sam Schwartz's routine, "Transfer and Follow" in Epilogue. The "Transfer" part of the routine is extremely close, almost identical.

Re: Trying to track down a Michael Skinner routine

Ok, I goofed; they weren't jokers...just four red backed cards and four blue backed cards. He used spot cards, not that it really matters.

Trying to track down a Michael Skinner routine

Didnt know if maybe Richard K. or Gary Plants might know this; anyone can answer if they know. On Legendary Repertoire of Michael Skinner 3, he performs a cards across/ progressive transposition routine using eight jokers: four red back and four blue back. If youre familiar with his performance of t...

Re: Wanted: Legendary Repertoire of Michael Skinner, vol. 1&2

If Jeff has a great price, I'd recommend snatching these up; they're priceless. I agree, ernasephile - a large Skinner volume would be fantastic. However, after watching these videos over and over, it's amazing at how much of his main performing repertoire was straight out of the classics. It was hi...

WTB: Vanni Bossi items

I'm looking for a copy of the Vanni Bossi lecture notes that include his instructions for the Pencil through the Bill.

Also, if you have a copy of either of his dvds - either the Greater Magic Video Library dvd or the International Magic dvd - and the price is reasonable, contact me.

PFD Copper Cups

I've had the set for over a year, and it has seen a little use but not much; they are in good condition. Unfortunately, I do not have the miniature tennis balls; this is only the three cups, 4 crocheted balls and the bag. Asking $70, s&h included. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.e...

Re: New Bikes - faro issues

Regarding the new bikes, there's just too much "wrong" with them for my taste: smaller pips and indices, quality issues, thinner paper...they're just crap for performing as they don't fit with any gaffs. That said, I too have been reverting back to Tally-Ho's now that they seem to be more ...

Re: Wanted: Legendary Repertoire of Michael Skinner, vol. 1&2

I seem to recall reading that he'd planned on putting out a pretty decent sized volume, but that never came to pass. The L&L book and the little slim piece from Busby are the only things I've seen available outside the material from Almanac and other publications.

Re: Wanted: Legendary Repertoire of Michael Skinner, vol. 1&2

Richard K.,
I re-read the 2000 issue of Genii with the Skinner tribute, and after having seen Michael's work on all of the videos now, I'm astounded at just how good he was in his prime. I understand now what everyone meant.
