Re: A Recent eBay Experience

10-12 years ago Ebay was a good place to sell things. Now it is so full of cons, ripoffs, and just plain old idiots bidding and complaining about foolish, trivial things that I have given up almost. The fees alone make it next to impossible to come ahead. SME group on facebook is a much better place...

Re: Vernon's Color Changing Deck Might be Annemann's!

No the $50 Manuscript was titled "Annemann's $50 Manuscript" and was taken from lecture notes.

I am not an Annemann expert but I think that is a different book from the one Fulves serialized.

Vernon's Color Changing Deck Might be Annemann's!

I recently found a reference that might be of interest. In the bound L&L reprint of 'The Pallbearer's Review' Vol 1, Fulves serialized what was known as "Annemann's $50 Manuscript". There is an entry in this Annemann work called 'Color Changing Deck'. It is the same handling and method...

Re: Kaufman publishing magic books again?

This from Richard Kaufman is hilarious: "The first time I met Fulves was in 1972 at Tannen's. I was 14. He asked what my favorite book was (this was just before Tony Spina sold me Cliff Green's Professional Card Magic). I replied, "Harry Lorayne's Close-Up Card Magic." He turned and w...

Oh wow, that is sad news indeed.

I wouldn't have asked about it if I had known he was ill.

I have nothing to add beyond I liked their dvds and looked forward to each new release. It's regrettable if they are truly done but understandable.

I wish Louis the best.

Oh right. When I met him he was happily quaffing champagne and acting as if he was fairly well off. That, plus the TV series made me think he wasn't short of a bob or two. Richard, Yeah, I dunno. I like it. I don't recall who did the cinematography in it but it's really nicely photographed. I enjoy Ben Johnson too.
