Re: Live magic is on the rise ... the Supernaturalists

On Thursday night I took my wife out for dinner and then to see "Masters of Illusion Live" in Pittsburgh. It was a very rare chance to see live stage magic in "The Burg" and I really enjoyed the opportunity. And now, with "The Supernaturalists" I might have another chan...

Re: Circus Roncalli

The "Mind Summit" convention will take place starting tomorrow in Cologne. If you are attending and have a free afternoon you should go to Circus Roncalli at the Neumarkt train station. It is just a short train ride from the main station in Cologne and will run until June 15th.

Circus Roncalli

I have been in Köln (Cologne), Germany for several weeks on a long business trip. During my daily train commute to and from work I switch trains at the Neumarkt station. A small traveling circus (Circus Roncalli) is set-up immediately adjacent to the train platform and on Saturday I finally bought a...

I know that you can still purchase Bob Farmer's "Mutanz" which is very good and built upon the also excellent "Cascade". I haven't see the original for a long time but it may still be out there somewhere.

Re: WTB: P & L or Owen table base

PB Blaster is incredible but smelly stuff. It will fly out of the nozzle and get on everything so you might want to spray a little in a bottle cap and apply it with a toothpick or perhaps a little coffee stirrer/straw. Also - get some "never seize" and put this on the threads when you re-a...

Re: Criss Angel Meets "The Enemy"

I thought the same thing when I read the article. If bones were used as the pattern for a sand mold you could cast them (or at least the shape of them) in metal. Much more believable than "dipping them in stainless steel". Not that the end result is any less bizarre or disgusting.

From the link...."The folks at Big Bear Choppers made the custom super bike from bones dipped in stainless steel for the frame." Stainless steel melts at about 1400 to 1450 degrees Celsius. The temperature for cremation is in the range of 760 to 1150 degrees Celsius. (google is a wonderful...
