Re: performing for teenagers

At 75, no one would hire me for a magic show for teenagers. BUT put me in front of a small group of teenagers and I can blow them away! Treat them as adults, respect them even though some out of embarrassment will try to trip you up or heckle you. Take them seriously by showing them serious magic......

Re: State Coin Designs Pro-Con

Kerry Pollock has an ingenious and electronically inventive feature effect with the state quarters. You can see him at the Hilton Head Island Magic and Comedy Club which he now owns. Re: David Blaine tonight

David Blaine couldn't care less about what I think, but the show felt too much to me like a "Reader's Digest" of closeup magic. After a while I also was just overloaded with clever use of what the video camera does not show. Too much of that for me. Yes, there were good moments but with Bl...

Re: Info on LOSANDER'S "Animated Sphere" (floating ball) needed!

I have this and use it from time to time. I think it is a good illusion if not performed too long. It utilizes a floating gimmick that is self-contained. Unfortunately, under that strategy, what they pay you is "income" to you. If you write the check back to them you will be out. You have to pay income taxes(perhaps federal and state) and Social Security (self-employed???) on that amount. This easily can add up to 20% plus of the totsl depe...

I actually love this effect. After doing the regular routine, I do not rveal the final page. I go on with the deck of cards, having it schuffled. Then I do a fan force. You could do a classic force. I do the timing force with a fan of cards faces toward me. I run my finger aross the top of the fan. ...
