Re: What is your Unicorn Magic Book?

I'd love to see a book about the magic of David Gripenwalt.

Many years ago, Gregory Wilson wrote in Magic Magazine that he was working on this project (he and Mr. Gripenwalt are friends).

I see that his routine appears in one of the British close-Up Symposium. I'll see if I could put my hand on it. Thanks.

Peter Rosengren shakes the cup to "make the sound appear", explaining that when you hear the ball, you can feel the ball.

Thank you all. I'll have a look at Dennis Loomis routine. Tom Stone pointed me toward another version printed in Genii in 2002.

In-the hand cups and balls routine - MAGIC Magazine

I've been told that an in-the-hand cup(s) or chop cup routine appeared in MAGIC magazine some time ago. I'm on the look out for a routine that I could perform in the spectator's hand in strolling situation. If anybody could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate. Magic magazine used to have...

Re: Your First " WOW " Factor With Magic ?

My first encounter with magic that I can recall was Marshall Brodien selling magic on TV. I was 5 and that's what got me hooked to this wonderful form of art. One of my most memorable real life experience with magic was a performance of David Roth's Portable Hole by a local magician. I still remembe...

erdnasephile,

You're right. I saw DC doing his routine 20 years ago and I recall that it was really good. I often use this as an example when I tell people how David Copperfield is a great magician and that he can take a common magic store item and make it much better than anyone else.

Thanks.

Walt Disney World Magic

Hi,

I'm going to Walt Disney World from December 31st to January 7th.

Does anyone know if there is some magic to see there (apart from the magic of Disney, of course...)?
Is there any show? A magic shop? Anything magic related?

Thanks!
