Re: Kinda invisible card

This sounds similar in concept to a coin routine Tim Glancey had. He said the coin was invisible on one side. It was a spellbound type routine but he switched the coin for nothing while pretending to turn the coin over and mimed holding the invisible coin.

iPad App

I generally access Genii through the iPad app. This morning it asked me to login

My login (email address / password) does not work. I get the error that username or password is incorrect.

I am able to access through the website using my email address and password.

Re: Book that this trick is in

The "version" in the Kenner book is Michael Weber's. If you read the introduction to the trick you will get the gist of what went on. Michael performed this, but did not explain it, at an 8 hour lecture he gave in Niagara on the Lake in the early 80's. It was not in print at that time but ...

I don't see how the statement that if you move a file it still exists on your hard drive, while technically true, has anything to do with this. For all practical purposes the file is unavailable to you after you get rid of the moved copy. You would need to go to extraordinary means to retrieve a cop...

3 characters in magic I was lucky enough to meet and spend some time with were Mike O'Dowd (the one from Toronto) - He always had some topological thing to show and he had this vent figure he had made where the face had a skin over it and the mouth moved like an actual human mouth Willis Kenney - Al...

This is what I think is going on with this (as if it mattered what I think) Criss (or someone involved with Criss) saw how many people flocked to magic shops to buy "biting coins" after David Blaine did that trick on one of his specials. This is their attempt to cash in on the same type of...

The "Too Perfect" theory is incorrectly named and that is the reason for the big debate. If a trick were truly perfect all explainations, including the correct one, would be impossible in the audiences mind. Rick Johnsson's theory should be called the "Not Quite Perfect" theory.

I think the handling of the "sucker" aspects at the beginning are the most important part of this. You need to get the spectators reacting but if you play it too broadly they will know you are putting them on from the start. I have a video from the early 80's of Derek Dingle performing thi...

I think the answer is - DON'T. If enough people refuse to buy this material these and other creators will eventually refuse to do business with these companies. No one really "needs" the newest Sankey trick.
