Re: Wanda Sykes

I liked the interview. She said loud and clear she liked one magician. That's enough for me to believe she doesn't hate magicians or magic. I interpreted the rest of what she said as half serious and half humor. This was also the first time I heard Jay Leno say he likes magicians. Overall I found th...

Re: Bill in lemon

I realize you are just looking for a presentational idea but I got carried away so don't take these seriously. 1. Assuming you are performing on stage, Offer a gift basket of fruit as compensation for the lost money. Tell the audience it's a real bargain and ask a volunteer to pick on piece of fruit...

My how time flies.

Roy Walton's Impact from The Devils Playthings (reprinted in the Complete Walton Vol 1), could be used as a finale for Vernon's routine.

My favorite twisting routine is Daryl's Twisted Aces Redivivus from Secrets of a Puerto Rican Gambler. I like the finale. It's impromptu and reasonably easy.

Re: Han Ping Chien move

Which video of Slydini doing the coins through table did you watch? I had read his routine in Best of Slydini and More before I saw him perform it. You're right about the action itself. It doesn't look natural. But when I watched him perform the routine in person it was great. It was like seeing his...

Magic and Science article needs to reevaluate an argument

Re: What is your worst performance mishap?

I was performing Las Vegas Leaper in a restaurant for a couple of ladies. At the end the count was one card short. I thought I just loaded one card too few. Nice job 3ialwi. Michael Weber once told me he thinks it's better with just two hops as well. You have a good idea Matt when you make the first rise go near the top. If you do the trick with two hops, I think that clarifies the effect. I'm glad you guys like the trick. Ray "three hop" Kosby
