Re: New Steinmeyer/Caveney History of Magic Book Almost Shipping

Book arrived Monday, 2 November, in MA. Dining table, not coffee table, size. Without equal in anything I've seen, that's for sure, in graphics and production alone. I have not devoured the essays in full but they're by folks who know what they're talking about more than most usually do, so time (an...

Re: MCA: Who's Next at Bat?

David Meyer's 15-year tenure as Editor of Magicol rivals that of the vast majority of editors of conjuring periodicals not only in longevity, but, more importantly, in accomplishment. A few magazines came in today's mail; none brought to this face the smile which the little white envelope from Glenw...

FSH: Lotsa Videos

[font:Book Antiqua]It seems there's a good number of folks left who still have their VCRs hooked up. Here are 15 or so VHS tapes. Each was viewed only once or twice, with the exception of the Garcia tape whihc was viewed more often. Steve Fernandes 105 Caswell St New Bedford, MA 02745 508 995 2957 <...

Re: FSH: Copperfield TV specials

I need no further contact with attorneys. Offer to sell is hereby withdrawn. However, should anyone like a gift of these tapes, he or she is welcome to contact me at safernandes@verizon.net. I just want them to find a home where there's a functioning VCR.

Re: FSH: Copperfield TV specials

Yikes, Terry, never gave that a second thought. But I think I'll go with the reasoning on Richard's post. These are not copies from anywhere (and I have made no second-generations from them, for that matter) but recordings I made at home right off the the broadcast.

Re: FSH: Copperfield TV specials

Whoa! Found another one. MDC IV (1982) and MDC V (1983) on one tape. Add this to the batch, no change in price. So to recap: 1979 (or Year One) to 1995, missing only 1991, a total of nine (9) tapes.

FSH: Copperfield TV specials

Need to make room. Testing the waters, here, for interest in VHS tapes of the following "The Magic of David Copperfield" [MDC] TV specials. These were copied simultaneously from the original broadcast with a home VCR. This batch includes: First and second years on one tape, no years (1979 ...

Re: Forrest J Ackerman Dead

One-of-a-kind person. How I loved those issues of FMoF! When I heard of his death, I went to the box and found a dozen or so. (Yikes. Collecting non-magic magazines in early adolescence. Scarier than the magazines.) I think it's interesting how many certain-age folks who were Ackermaniacs in their y...

Re: What is the Labyrinth magazine?

I believe a complete file of LABYRINTH consists in 13 issues from 1994 to the final issue in 1999. The final issue was numbered 12 because there were two parts to Issue N8.

Re: Typos in books

In my book, I included an email address for readers to send corrections. The work, though, is a bibliography and will not be reprinted. The intention of seeking corrections was for future use in updates. In addition to "typos", the interest is in more data about the Titles. If the work is ...
