Re: Animatronic Puppets

'Tetley' is a work in progress, Roger. I have used it for a couple of 'meet and greets' that I did for free, and it goes down a treat - this is the main reason I bought it. I can't imagine using it in a birthday party show - a whole different approach would be needed, and another (big!) suitcase. We...

Re: Animatronic Puppets

Roger, apparently the 'highlight' of Louis that went out on TV had been edited to such an extent that it included footage of the judges that was taken from comments made during another act(s). The fact that they hack things around just for cheap laughs at the expense of the performer just shouldn't ...

Re: Animatronic Puppets

Roger, Louis has far from destroyed anything, despite being manipulated by the backstage staff prior to his appearance and his spot being deftly and deceptively edited for when the programme went out on air. Nor is he a 'dreadful performer'. Knee jerk reactions don't become you, Roger, you are norma...

Re: FS: New Riser Ultimate Salt Gimmick in Black

Jim, many thanks. I already have this one in flesh colour, and I agree, it is well made, and feels right to handle.

Sorry I can't relieve you of yours, Lou.

Re: FS: New Riser Ultimate Salt Gimmick in Black

Lou, sorry to sound stupid, but do you have a photo of it. I have been doing the s/pour for about 3 years now, and have quite a collection of gimmicks that I have tried (and kept!). I have 3 of Jim Risers, but can never remember their particular names. An e-mail describing the gimmick would be fine,...

Re: [censored] on You Tube!

Hi Roger, no, I wont be at Blackpool, unfortunately. What I will do, however, now I know about Ken Scott's Friday evening 'do' at KIDabra, is visit Walmart in Sevierville and see what I can get (other than beer!). Happy New Year to you and yours, enjoy Blackpool and see you in August - in addition t...

Re: The Passing of a Great Prestidigitator - Barry Price

Jennifer, I did not know your father, but when magicians write of a person, as they have above, he must have been a much valued mamber of the magical society. For that reason, I offer my condolensces and prayers to you and your family. It is is bad enough to lose a family member, but when that 'fami...

Re: IBM SAM Day 6

I think another problem for the younger guys is that they have school during the week so aren't able to go any way, until the weekend.
That was my problem (well one of them!), as a child, and it wasn't until I was in employment that I could then take the necessary holidays.
