Re: hank lee out of jail

I doubt that Hank would think he could start another mail order business and compete in the magic market. His previous business model was top dollar along with expensive and slow shipping. Much less people not getting the product that they paid for. As for his Conclave, once I heard and confirmed th...

Re: Phil Willmarth has passed

I had some correspondence with Phil up until his illness, very nice guy. I got the message from Janet (as Ian) that the whole family was with him at the end.

Re: Charlotte Pendragon's World of Illusion

She certainly did burn some bridges with the illusion sales, that's for sure. But that Youtube promotional video really won't get many/any clients. Much less throwing the puppet guy in.

While I had told myself a while ago, that I didn't need to buy anything new, and have done well with this... C4 looks pretty cool. Might have to break my promise to myself and order this.

Re: Paul Fox Cups and Balls

I have a set of the real Paul Fox/Danny Dew cups which are nickle plated. They are pretty light weight. Since they are original and light, I don't really use them, more of a collector's piece. I really do enjoy working with Sherwood copper and RNTII Stainless PF cups. I've tried some other designs M...

Re: Lost Videos Slydini Christian Fechner

Agreed, it would be too bad to have the tapes deteriorate to unusable. Years ago I was talking to Hans Zahn (Videonics) about these as he was attempting to get them with no luck.

Re: Impressions of IBM/SAM 2014

It was a good number of years ago that I was a member of one of the big national orgs. One day out of my mailbox pops the monthly they produced with an older guy wearing a blue sequin jacket. Fuzzy memory, but he may have had a rabbit puppet or even a top hat with the rabbit puppet. Needless to say ...

Re: Bob Hummer - biographical information?

On a generic note, it's too bad someone doesn't sit down with a camera and spend time with the likes of Johnny Thompson, Howie Schwarzman, Bob White and a number of others. The all have great stories of the past magic history and magicians. I was lucky enough to spend time listening to all 3 at some...

Re: Reviewers needed for new release

What a great review. In all my years of reading reviews I've never seen mentioned anything about someone's wife having sex with a rodeo clown, and a warning about watching a demo that would allow me to feel my sphincter get all tight and fearful.
Great job Tony.

Magic for a 14 YO?

I have some friends that want me to teach their 14 year old a couple of tricks. He's a really smart kid, but the problem is I don't have kids and totally lost. Is there a couple of easy things to teach? A good book for a boy his age? I'm figuring Slow Motion Aces is out....
