What a [censored] There is NO need for anyone to know that 'details'. If Daryl suicided, then it is so. No f*** need for any curious magician to know that details. What is that good for ??? Sad enough for us all that nobody noticed in our 'community'. He did an unspeakable act in a public place rev...

WTF! What does that mean? How could that happen with a bag on one's head? Although I am a fan from a far, this event has permeated my thoughts. I read a post by Eric Mead (I believe) about creative people and their hidden struggles. Can someone she'd some light on that? I have a fairly boring desk j...

Re: Daryl Committed Suicide at The Magic Castle

I spoke with Daryl last time I saw him at a lecture about 5 years ago. As his lecture was mostly very accessible stuff from his Fooler Dooler material, I asked him if he still performed his card routines from his two classic books. He answered something along the lines of: "No. I have enough st...

Re: Vernon, Jennings, and Cervon

Vernon's personality trait discussed above gives me the impression that he was a very manipulative (no pun intended) person. For those of us who only know him from books, he looks like a wise kind grandfather. However, Based on the above, I don't get the impression he would have made a great friend.

Any projects planned for the magic community in the near future apart from the EMC DVDs? A book or packet trick maybe?

I don't see the point in wishing for something that's never going to happen instead of appreciating what you actually have. ! Words of wisdom that one can hardly disagree with. However, it is natural to mourn ones dream book that will never be. It's what happens when something is hyped and is eager...

I believe Max has abandoned his Gilbreath project. Wow! What a huge disappointment. Now that I know, I can stop checking the forums every day for an announcement. 20 years of anticipation for nothing. Was this supposed to be an original work or only a collection of Max's previous output on the Gilb...

What is your Unicorn Magic Book?

Every year we are lucky to see the publication of some unexpected magic books which may turn out to be a pleasant discovery. However most of us are waiting for some long announced book that never gets around to being published and may never be. What magic book are you patiently waiting for years whi...

You might want to publish the Jennings book before its fan base dies or grows to old to care after all these years. I see a lot of magicians in their 60s selling off most of their magic book libraries. I wonder how much demand exists for Jeninings in the younger demographic. You are potentially leav...

I have shelves of books that I have only skimmed through. I have a list of "must learn" effects that I have yet to turn my attention to. I have boxes filled with packet tricks, and quite a few great ones. I have enough DVDs to watch magic 24 hours a day for many weeks and not look at the s...

On the flip side, there is likely someone who did not know the fair market value of what he had... There is no denying that Weber material retails at a premium compared to other creators. But then again, he does not mass market to the magic community.
