Re: One Man's View of The Hollingworth Collection

I was watching it with earphones at first but I can still hear it well on the TV although it is better.

Re: One Man's View of The Hollingworth Collection

Just started watching my set. Is it just me or does the original London Collection on disc 1 have this really annoying high pitched sound in the background? It's driving me crazy.

Re: Get Out Your Money: The Hollingworth Collection is Here!

Charlie Frye's Ripped and Fryed, included in the Paul Harris box set, is my preferred version of the "Reformation" and more accessible too.

Re: Unbelievable Price for a Comic

Beautiful copy. I am no longer a paper comic collector (except for some graphic novels) but do read the digital comics now and then. If I had the money I would be very worried about: 1) the cheap newspaper print becoming so brittle and essentially falling apart in the next 20 years. 2) No market for...

Re: Ricky Jay's Congress of Wonders

I will be attending the next Genii Bash and very much looking forward to it.

From what I recall reading about the last one, it sounded like a regular convention but with a great deal of outstanding talent. I see nothing wrong with this format. Am I missing some nuance?

Re: Tenyo knockoff - Mirror Mate

Just finished watching you online Genii Speaks video :)

I don't know why, but I want one...

I found the dealer's website: http://www.808magic.com.tw/products.php

Does anyone know of an American source?

Did they carry any other unique effects to recommend?

Thank you.

Tenyo knockoff - Mirror Mate

A really crappy knockoff for $5?

Fun to watch, but if someone does not think highly of magic, this will convince them they are right.

Re: Ricky Jay's Congress of Wonders

The reviews keep getting worse... It's clear to me that I made the right choice in hesitating to attend as everything described (picture or no picture, accessible Jay or not) would have been an overall disappointment and an expensive mistake. I'm surprised that Jay extended a video invitation to Gen...

Re: Ricky Jay's Congress of Wonders

Why would an amateur magician believe that they might be sitting down for dinner or drinks with a major star of stage, screen, and page simply because he happened to be a speaker at an event related to magic? Or that Jay would suddenly embrace amateur magicians to the degree that he'd put his arm a...

Re: The vernon touch book

Those few copies left were packed up and will next resurface at the Magi-Fest at the end of January. We have none here. The book is too expensive to reprint. Richard, if you don't mind me asking, why would a book in high demand be too expensive to reprint? Is this because there is a risk in being s...

Re: New from Kaufman and Company: The Skinner Tapes

Thank you for checking. L&L re-released the DVD set which included some audio Vernon lectures. When imported into iTunes there were several tracks (like 40) but no album name. As such I could not find a practical way to add them to my iPod without renaming each track. It was not worth the hassle.

Can they easily be imported into iTunes in mp3 format?

The Vernon DVDs that were released a few years ago by L&L were not user friendly to import into iTunes.
