Re: Mobile format

If you look at apps that are optimized for the retina display, they look crisper than others, including the Genii app. The problem is more noticible if you're not zoomed in.

Re: Mobile format

One other request-- please add retina display support to the iPad app. It's a little blurry in single page view and my sense is that things could look much sharper on an iPad 3.

Thanks,

Frank

Mobile format

Hi Guys! Could someone make the forum have a mobile format so we can read it easier on our phones? Alternatively, there's an app called Tapatalk which could do the trick if you're willing to make some adjustments. I see Hermetic Press is already compatible with that app. On a sepatate note, I'd real...

Re: New Book Coming on the Card Magic of David Berglas

W00t! Received my copy today. I'm not sure I can do all that thinking on my feet to do these effects, but it looks to be a fun read anyway.

Yup, nothing in Roseville yet. Maybe the hail we got in June slowed things down ;p.

Re: New Genii Website Now Live! Free Digital Issues!

Is anyone able to read the articles on their iPhones? All I see are the little icons you get when a website uses Flash (Apple refuses to support Flash on the iPhone or ipad).

Re: New Vernon book, poor indexing

I'm glad to hear that there was at least some discussion about the pagination, but I have to agree with the OP, that it's very frustrating to not have a master table of contents (at least) and the idea of having bracketed page numbers for the collected volume is a good idea. It's unnecessarily diffi...

Re: In the Gaps - Stone Column

Thanks for the reply, Tom. I actually did like your article, BTW; it's a very interesting approach to misdirection.

In the Gaps - Stone Column

The Tom Stone column in 6/09's issue was an interesting (and useful) way to think of misdirection, but the description of the physiology seems a bit too sweeping; while certain elements are correct, I'm not sure I've ever heard things put quite the way he did in over 10 years of doing Neurology. Ric...

FS: Ultimate 3 Fly (Lassen / Kohler) Coins + Video

Hi All. I'm selling my U3F set (1921 uncirculated Morgans + video). After I purchased it, I sent it back to Todd and he re-milled the other 2 coins so that all the coins will fit in the shell. Additionally, I had him shim the shell to assist in vanishing it. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http:...

Re: A Loaded Question for the Readers of Genii

I'd like to read about ways to improve my existing moves. For example, the face up tent vanish is a nice variation on the original. It doesn't even have to be a variation. It could be, for instance, David Roth talking on what makes for a superb retention vanish. On a slightly different note, it'd al...

Re: Advice needed - moving collection

In addition to the good advice above, I'd recommend: Don't go too heavy, as that'll increase the chances of boxes crushing one another, drops, etc. Don't pack the books too close to the edges of the boxes. If the box gets dropped on its corner, a book packed too close to the edge will get its own co...

Re: One exposure site feels the pain...

Interesting discussion. If I had a DVD product, I think I'd package something with it that you couldn't download. Maybe a small booklet or gimmick.

Re: Dustin Stinett's review of The Roadrunner Cull - lacking important information

I would also add that if all you want is to cull a few cards, the Cullfather is a good way to go. I especially liked how it covers things like culling in semi-unusual situations (card 2nd from top). The Roadrunner cull is great for speed and culling multiple cards if that's what you need. - Frank
