Re: New Gerlitz pieces!

The Money Clip is a neat prop. As to Richard's showing off the works, I can see people's reservation about him giving off his secrets, but then, it's nice to see what you are really buying at those prices. I also figure only magically oriented people would likely visit his site and after the items a...

Re: Trade Castle Notebook Vol number 14 for vol 2 number 296

I guess these "complementary" copies are common (saw the same with Revelation using the alphabet, if I recall correctly, as one sold at a high price on Martinka). The Cervon Notebooks with Vol 1 was randomly sent out, irregarless of your ordering status...I ordered within hours of the anno...

Re: Swann Magic Auction From A To Z

Needless to say, it's definitely a buyer's market as some desirable items are now relatively affordable compared to just a few years ago. That's assuming that the seller is desparate for cash to let go of those precious items at this time. If not, sit on them, enjoy them, and wait for the market to ...

Re: Swann Magic Auction From A To Z

Considering the economy, the Taytelbaum pieces did well. I put in some decent absentee bids for several, not expecting to win anything, so I was surprised to win one of the paddle sets, even though I missed the entire live bidding on the items.

This is great. I know Richard through e-mails over our mutual interest in the magic of Richard Gerlitz and Alan Warner.

His latest game release, I believe, is Tabula Rasa.

Contacted my family from work to see if they were OK... they were in the theater watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth", felt the shaking, but thought it was some special effects appropriate to the scene that was playing at the time :) I just rode it..compared to the Northridge quak...

Colin Rose makes his Enchanted Tweezers. I am waiting to see if he will make one for a 1921 Morgan dollar I sent him. Makes more sense to me than the wand.

Re: Bruce Cervon's Castle Notebooks Volume 1

Last time I got some random high number. Why would I want that particular number again? What am I missing I would have agreed with you for some time after I recieved volume one, but with the current demand for these books, now I am 1) glad I have any copy, and 2) since it is being offered, I might ...

The Hopping Half set sold out quickly. Sale on the Flipper pending. Thanks all for looking. Someone asked me and, yes, I do have many other Lassen gaffs, but way too nice to sell. Todd is definitely a master craftsman.

Re: Les Smith passed away

This is sad news. The last time I visited Owen a few years ago, Les took the time to talk and show me the many magic Owen is so well known for. He was just passing by, but he took it on his own to make this customer's visit a memorable one.

Re: Bruce Cervon's Castle Notebooks Volume 1

I wouldn't be surprised that the books were already boxed and ready to ship and ramdomly shipped as the orders were filled with no attention to the serial numbering. However, I would sure like to get the remaining volumes to match the one I got in my copy (#168 - I also placed my order within a few ...

Re: Bruce Cervon's Castle Notebooks Volume 1

I recall when I got the e-mail announcement from L&l on the book, I immediately responded with an online purchase that same day, all based on Cervon's reputation (and I own several of his books), but was surprised it took about a month, I think, to sell out. Funny, when I saw that the book was s...
