Re: MAGIC Live 2013

Here’s my take on my first ever “MAGIC Live!” (for those who give a hoot): Complaint Dept. : (We’ll just get this part out of the way early, because it’s relatively short): I think it’s kind of messed up that you cannot see all of the lectures due to overlapping schedules. Re: The Incredibly Stinky Burt Wonderstone?

Well, I saw this tonight. I have to be honest, I went into this with pretty low expectations. But surprisingly enough the movie still failed to live up to them. The few humorous scenes were labored, predictable and telegraphed the punch lines. The script was tired and cliché. The actors seemed to ju...

Re: Collecting Playing Cards

You don't collect playing cards because they might increase in value. You collect because you like cards. Some people collect stamps, others coins, while others beanie babies or Barbie dolls. Re: Card Trimmer Assortment Update 10/26/12

Thanks for the info. I'm going to try and build your budget trimmer since there is no way I will ever be able to justify the amount of money a real trimmer can cost. Not that they aren't worth the asking price. I just wouldn't use it enough to make it cost effective.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you'll win the million bucks! :) But I receive the praise and adulation of my peers for my 12 minute Coin in Bottle routine. Which to me is worth far more than a million bucks. :) I am glad to hear that the AGT Execs are attempting a new approach for magicians. However ...

Re: So, How was MAGIC Live?

Excellent points raised by all. The "Steve Howe factor" - Dustin, yer the greatest! I really didn't want to bring this up, but for me it all begs the question of why a straight man would create and use a gay showbiz persona in the first place. Hobson told us how he initially came up with ...
