Android tablets and phones should now be able to browse PDFs on Ask Alexander. Some devices, mostly older devices, may not work due to limited memory or software limitations.

Re: Browser for iPhone/iPad

iOS Safari can display PDFs but has a bug that prevents it from working within Ask Alexander. It's a well-known bug that Apple will hopefully address in the near future. Until then... if the blank PDF is resized (via a "pinch" or "zoom" action) then the PDF will often display. &q...

Re: Advice on using Ask Alexander

Hey JR, Notes are used by some readers a lot; most do not use them. There are nearly 9,000 collections actively and are used a lot for research and organizing. The Bookshelf feature is most heavily used -- there are 16,000 books on user's bookshelves. A couple tips: When viewing a collection, you ca...

Re: iGenii question

The default Flash Player security settings should work fine. The app doesn't require access to your camera or microphone though the app may use some local storage.

Let me know if you're still having problems after checking these settings.

Re: FINALLY! All Genii Back Issues Can Now Be Accessed Individually

We (myself and the other volunteers) were also tasked with finding the index page of each issue. Will that information eventually be used in some way so we can jump immediately to the index of each separated issue? Chris, you guys also identified the first 'reading page' of each issue, usually the ...

Clicking on Genii title under the flipping page icon correctly takes you to the magazine. That's been broken a long time... glad it got reported.

Oddly Bent, your subscription data has been updated. You should be able to access iGenii tonight.
