Re: Zig-zag girl with cylinders pushed through?

Haha, what is so bad about it? I just remember seeing it performed surrounded and am investigating brining a large scale trick like this into a smaller setting.

I for the life of me can not recall the name of this trick. It's similar to zig-zag girl but has two or one cylinders pushed through the box to assure the audience no one could be inside. Any help is appreciated...

Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

I think when people ask "how much do magicians make" it is more about asking if it is even possible. It is easy to look at a profession like accounting and find statistics on number of people practicing, average salaries, job growth trends, and much more. Magic and other performance based ...

I find leaving postcards where I think appropriate traffic will see them yields results. Funny, in the internet world, I nice designed clear professional postcard goes a long way. Postcards.com have some standard ones or get a graphic designer to do one for you. I paid a guy 150 buck (plus printing)...

College Cafeterias=great practice arenas....

so I was at a larger state university today and forgot how large and awesome their cafeterias tend to be. If I were in college still, this would be a great spot to practice table routines. If you ARE NOT in college, due to security issues you may have difficulty entering and it might not be in your ...

Re: Philadelphia ?

There was a shop over by South St. that closes a few years ago apparently. Haven't seen that place in NoLib I am in philly all the time man. Always sippping coffee at muggshots. What is the performance seen down there like? I saw a homeless dude rock some great magic outside whole foods last year.

Re: Bullet Catch Illusion!??

Hey,

I am really appreciative/sorry about this post. I honestly did not think they used actual bullets! I have been developing a routine using a silk "bang gun" and some sugar glass. More of a fun safe approach.

Re: Bullet Catch Illusion!??

Please relax. Believe it or not I am trained in firearms handling, and have completed several safety courses. I would never introduce an actual fire arm in front of an audience. I am curious as to whether or not there are bullet catch variations that are completely safe! catching a bullet in my teet...

Bullet Catch Illusion!??

I am seriously considering adding this to my set up in the next two years. I do not see many people doing it, and it would be fitting for myself. What are the safety issues, I do not know much about this giant illusion.

Discuss!

Re: Hocus Pocus Magic & Mark Wilson

Hunt or be hunted is my belief... I believe Television ruins most live-performance however, I cannot fault Chris for developing a character and capitolizing on a theme. Mark Wilson is a legend and I swear by his book and life of performance, and respect his opinion and kind of agree with it. In ten ...
