Re: New Tenyo Tricks for 2015

Thanks for sharing those, Richard. I often make suggestions for Tenyo product titles, so please consider those English titles as temporary placeholders. I look forward to writing the Tenyo instructions in English every year. Makes me feel like a kid in a toy store, with the front doors locked to the...

I'm really sorry to hear this news. Ace was very supportive of me, coming to one of my very first public shows in New York. He helped introduce me to many of his pals who later became clients. Every six months or so, Ace hosted "magic dinners" at his amazing Fifth Avenue apartment. Regular...

Re: Matching Bulb to Tenyo Scotty York Bulb

When I was writing the instructions to this routine, Tenyo asked me to find a matching light bulb in America so that you could switch out the gimmicked bulb at the end. I did a significant amount of research at lighting shops all over New York City but was unable to find a similar bulb.

Re: Magic Of Tenkai - Richard Kaufman

In 1993, Stephen Minch hired me to translate Yamamoto's texts from Japanese into English (his Tenkai prize book, and another one or two manuscripts.) It was my first translation project out of college and I did my very best, at the time. Within his books, there were numerous trick titles that remain...

Re: The Essential Sol Stone

Hearing a favorite song often calls forth other related memories. A tune may remind you of a high school dance, a particular friend, or a vacation spot. Reading a magic book can do that to you too. I recently had the good fortune to read an advance copy of The Essential Sol Stone, and found myself w...

Re: New Book Coming on the Card Magic of David Berglas

You're right, Richard. Berglas handles cards in a way I've not seen before. His think-a-card routines are terribly baffling. He and I spent several memorable late-night sessions, and I've concluded that there is no end to this man's genius.

Greatly looking forward to this book.
