Re: A Recent eBay Experience

You could probably call Ebay to address this. With the buyer trying to avoid Ebay fees, they could look into his background for other occurrences. With the negative feedback, I don't know the duration but you you will go back to 100% overtime. If you're on Ebay, sooner or later you have to encounter...

Re: Ringling's Elephants and then?

I remember when the circus has a sideshow or a freak show. There was a very small group that wanted it stopped and it finally did.

Today, they have reality shows. Go figure.

Re: McCord Museum Acquires "Significant" Collection

The price of magic collectibles did go up. When 1,000 pieces of better material is taken out of a finite market, never to return, the price goes up. IMHO As for the purchase and donation of the collection, that will be revealed sooner later. Our circle is small and I would guess the details will sur...

The phone hasn't stopped ringing all day about this collection. I'm happy for ever sold it.

What I do know is that the price of rare magic just went up.

Re: Jim Alfredson has Died

Jim Alfredson was a great guy. I knew him for 30 years. The stories he told me and the laughs we had are too numerous to remember.(And better than most lectures you could have attened) All I know is that he befriended a young Houdini collector many years ago and that I am grateful for. I will miss y...

Re: Many Doug Henning Photos (Houdini & more)

Many years ago, they used to have have a annual sale. They would dump huge piles of ephemera they didn't want on tables in area about the size of a basketball court. It was amazing the things one could find. One item that was located was a signed Houdini photo for $1.00. SMH
