Re: MAGIC Live 2017?

One magician used magic to challenge her and as a means of trying to bet and win a prize from her that she was not authorized to bestow, and placed her in an awkward and uncomfortable position, with the only possible outcome being to make her wrong, and possibly put her job in jeopardy; the other ma...

Re: Sam the Bellhop for kids?

Brad, I believe that you meant tdk408, as opposed to Luigimar. tdk408's question regarding what to do if you get a card in the wrong place, appears to be in response to Luigimar's recommendation of the Guy Hollingsworth routine as a "Sam the Bellhop" for children. In any event, I definitel...

@tdk408: "how do you cover an occasional goof, like one card in the wrong place?" You don't. There is no way to avoid all mistakes. I occasionally goof a move I have done thousands of times. So when a wrong card comes up you just day Oops and move to another trick,? What'do you do? You se...

I was shocked to learn, when I looked it up today that the world's population has almost tripled since 1947 and Orson Wells' prophesy. That titanically increases the odds that there will be spoilers out there, exposing secrets of magic. They are probably of the same people who gleefully told their l...

Just wondering... Are there no members who's go-to trick is Card to Wallet? Or the Cups and Balls or the ID? Or even perhaps Ring Flight? It has been said that "Brevity is the soul of wit." I think this applies under most circumstances to magic, as well. We have all been victims of extremely long-winded jokes, hoping, even praying, that, mercifully, the punch line comes soon... The nut is inside the shell, and the squirrel h...

IMHO, Performer is absolutely right. Interestingly, all four of those (super strong) tricks he mentioned essentially are done in and/or by the spectator's own hands.
