Asti Manuscript and Testament de Jerome Sharp

Hi, I was reading the Asti Manuscript in the Gibeciere and Roberto Giobbis essay on the Testament de Jerome Sharp. On page 4 in the Testament de Jerome Sharp Giobbi talks about shuffling a deck of cards and that it is not what is traditionally known as the overhand shuffle, it is rather a type of sh...

I like Mr Ben's thinking When it comes to practicing. Dai Vernon often wrote and said: "use your head", Mr Vernon meant this in context of learning and practicing a move. Since no two hands are the same it my be important for you to change a finger position or to have a diffrent grip on t...

This is probably something that most people already know, but if you have not read Mr Ben's blog and above all his thoughts on practice, you should. The two post I'm talking about is the following: Art of practice and Deliberate practice.

Ibidem No. 28 (April 1963)

I have just read Ibidem No. 28 1963. Ronald Wohl's study of the "Setup Technique" is wonderful and well worth studying. The principal behind the "Setup Technique" is not new, but does anyone Know if there is other published studys that are as thorough as Mr Wohl's?

Thank you for the anser. Should the Tenkai´s Optical Revolve then be credited to Tenkai? Shouldn't the "Tenkai´s Optical Revolve" be credited to Walter Gibson?

The principal of holding something visible as you hide something in your hand is wonderful. In the older books like for instans Sleight of hand (E. Sachs) and Secrets of conjuring and magic (J.E. Robert-Houdin) that principal to me is treated as a fundamental principal of magic. As we have seen i th...
