Re: July issue of GENII

Interesting to me, I had just finished reading Sleights of Mind and had enjoyed it very much when I received my July Issue. David Britland's review was disappointing to me. Seeing magic that I know and love examined by enthusiastic scientists as well as an all star list of magicians was very interes...

Re: November Issue of Genii Now on Its Way to You

Hi Richard

I just received my November issue in Northern VA. A stone's throw from your offices!

Have you changed anything about the printing this month? It seems to be more vibrantly colored.

Re: One Trick DVD Article by Richard Kaufman

I think that most one trick DVD's I have seen are not worth it. Heck I think that a lot of the 8 trick DVD's are overpriced too. Especially the way they package them. Being a coin magic man I would rather get all the coin tricks on one DVD and skip most of the card stuff. But...one DVD that taught o...

Reading the original article, it sounds like a drunken attempt to retrieve some gaffed coins?

Re: WHY THE GENERAL INDIFFERENCE TO MAGIC HISTORY?

I am coming in very late in this thread but it all seems so simple to me. Anything, magic included, has aspects which are interesting and not necessarily required for participation, enjoyment and even excellence. I see magic as a grouping of several areas of interest - the secrets/sleights/mechanics...

Re: THANK YOU, RICHARD, AND ADIOS!

I have to say that I do not get a lot out of some magic magazines and so I do not subscribe to them. However, I read Genii cover to cover including all the ads every month. I am very happy with the content and the quality and keep the issues for reference. I am a bit puzzled by comments of those who...

Re: SPECIAL PRE-PUB PRICES FOR JAPANESE MAGIC BOOK REPRINTS

I missed the pre-publication discount but decided to buy the New Magic of Japan anyway after reading the article on Japanese magic in Genii. This is a great book. I like the format with contributions from many magi and with tricks from all areas of conjuring. I went through my library and decided, R...
