Re: November Issue of Genii - Roberto Giobbi
Postal strike or not, the November issue arrived much earlier than expected today. I've been hoping for a Giobbi cover for a while and I was not disappointed.

Recieved May issue here in the UK. Missed out on April, February and (I've just realised) November so after recieving every issue for almost 4 years I'm beginning to fear I have a dishonest postman.

That was great. Was the guy with the foil just an ass or was it part of the act? Either way Lennart played it well, very funny with the penknife and the drinking of beer.

I enjoyed this book, I don't why it wasn't as popular as it should have been. The tools section has some great sleights including Dad Steven's Other Shuffle. The Invisible Palm Aces section is great too.

A little off-topic (although I think the question in the original post has been answered), but does anyone know who has the largest magic library? I bet that is a sight to see.

No it isn't.
Carneycopia is a play on cornucopia, an ancient greek symbol of abundance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornucopia
I'm not sure where you got your idea from, but I think it's incorrect.

Steve Carell's character in the 40 Year Old Virgin does a few magic tricks. Fitting? Incidentally Carell's character in The Office recalls spending $80 of company money at a magic store to help him sell his business: "I put a cigarette through a freaking quarter.....and almost closed the deal!&...

I don't know how I forgot about GOB when I made this topic. AD is amongst my favourite shows ever. Love all the magic references, especially the Alliance of Magicians and the The Gothic Castle. Just remembered a movie about the Cottingley Faeries, which if I recall had Harvey Keitel as Houdini in it.

If you are going to repeat a trick, it should be more impossible the second time around. If a spectator has any guesses as to how the trick is done, the repeat should prove these guesses impossible. And to be more specific to your post Mike, I would say your example is a little over the top. Doing a...

Never before has an article made me want to see a piece of magic as much as I do now. Part of me hopes we won't see another performance for decades, if at all, in order to keep up the mystery surrounding it. Part of me wishes I could be one of the lucky ones who got to see it.
