I once performed an amazing memorized deck effect to conclude my set. Upon completion the man said "That was good, but how did you fit two tennis balls under that cup?" reffering to my previous trick. Should've stopped at the chop cup routine with this particular audience.

Steve Ehler's Three Card Trick is the best trick in the book bar none. It's in the appendix. I felt like I got sucker punched when Steve performed this for me. It's also the trick that motivated me to memorize a stack.
The Kosy cut is also one of the best flouishy cuts that maintains deck order.

The best Hofzinzer style cull that I've seen described is in the Earick book. It utilizes a push with the left fingers as opposed to the right hand pull.

Bill, You don't have to grab the card with your ring finger at the right corner. I do find that my ring finger does come into contact with this corner, but only to hold it briefly in place as my middle finger contacts the center of card (the short end)and drive it into the palm. Hi Bill, Usually when one performs the bottom palm, a mild concave bend occurs as it is rotated into the palm. When I did this with Earick's palm the top cards were squirting all over the place. I recently picked up Ron Bauer's booklet for the Gadabout Coins. The patter he uses justifies the coins coming together, whether in the hand or the pocket. His handling is very nice which eliminates the click passes and retentios. He has a website

Guy Hollingworth published a very good handling of the move in one of the Penumbra magazines in his Collectors routine. It eliminates the awkward clutch. Issue 2 maybe?

I tried it out and it definately feels much better than the Kurtz variation. Also, I like your choice of nomenclature (sp?), dom/nondom. Perhaps more books could be written this way.(?)

I could be wrong about this but I'm pretty sure that I learned the Gordon double lift from Jenning's '67. The write-up in Cardshark confused me, but the description in the Jenning's book was very accurate.

If table space allows I use Two Shuffles Harry by Bro. Hamman.
For a really nice In the hands version that's short and sweet is by doing Karl Hein's shuffle and use Mr. Earicks surprising ending.
