Re: ERDNASE
According to John Crimmins, Hugards Monthly VOL 9, 1952, he says the first English edition was 1931, so I think Harto was publishing a typewritten style manuscript. J. N. Hofzinser's "Card Conjuring"translated by S. H. Sharpe from the Ottokar Fischer German title "J. H.Hofzinser Karte...
Re: ERDNASE
Possibly I missed the reference, but I did a search in this topic of Hofzinser and I am posting the information that I have discovered. Perhaps it was covered previously, so I apologize if this is redundant. Bart Whaley, who did extensive research on the identity of Erdnase, contributed 90% of the m...

Re: ERDNASE
I doubt very, very much that Nick D. was Erdnase. I saw him play on a few occasions at the Stardust when the Bank was still in operation at the Stardust Hotel and at the Dunes in 1964 in the poker room. There are many reasons in my opinion that would negate the candidate as writing the EATCT that I ...

Chicago - New Houdini play.
I didn't see this posted here so here goes. The Director that worked on the Expert At The Card Table and the Prologue sent me a note about some film work she did for a new play about Houdini, that opened in Chicago. Death and Harry Houdini. It is a silent film showing Harry doing an underwater escap...

Re: How much does the average Magician make annually?

Know the Faro Shuffle?
The Faro Shuffle As I started to write this commentary, I was going to begin with the question: Who knows what a faro shuffle is? That might be a little too magician-y cute, somewhat rude, and readers might think that I am saying, I have the answer and you dont. Well I am not being cute or rude, but...

Hi It was a pleasure meeting you as well. What I was referring to are the booklets written by Frank Koval, The Illustrated Houdini Research Diaries, wherein Houdini was tracked on a daily basis.
