This book played an important part in Nate Leipzig's early study of magic. You can see the starting points for several of his well-known routines in there.

The video at the top of the page talks about an exhibit at the Liberty Science Center that just opened this weekend. My daughter and I were just there on Saturday (the day it opened...we hadn't realized that ahead of time). Lots of cool stuff in the exhibit, and they were even letting you take apart...

Jimmy Fallon played the perfect foil during the routine - he let Ricky do his job and it was entertaining and funny. If Ricky tried this with David Letterman, Dave would spend the entire time asking him why he couldn't take one of the center cards. ...which is a perfectly valid question that I'm su...

Hey,
One thing I've been meaning to mention is that, when I submit a post, I get some debugging code printed out at the top of the page. Let me know if you'd like me to send a copy of what I'm seeing to someone.

Even this comics geek enjoyed the pilot. I thought for a TV show (and a limited budget) it was done pretty well and I hope it sticks. The premiere episode was a ratings hit -- #1 in the target demo (18-49), and the highest premiere in 4 years. It's off to an excellent start. It's unlikely that ther...

Alan Rickman in slow motion

You know, there's a lot of talk in magic about directing attention, making things seem important, etc. A lot of that has to do with body language, and in that regard, there's a lot to be learned from actors.
