Re: "Magic and Beyond" series available on Amazon Prime

I haven't viewed every episode yet, but I agree that some of the show's production values are pretty "cheesy". However, I think some of the vintage footage of Blackstone, etc. is interesting, and I enjoyed several of the Johnny Ace Palmer segments. I also liked seeing some Castle regulars ...

"Magic and Beyond" series available on Amazon Prime

I was browsing through the Amazon Prime video range today and discovered a magic series I hadn't seen mentioned before: (apologies if I missed it somehow) https://www.amazon.com/Episode-1/dp/B071DPGYZ5/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508378581&sr=8-1&keywords=prime+video+magic+and+beyond "M...

Yes--you're right, of course. I guess I was just bringing it up because it's too bad Tannen's was unable to do the same.

One more question: I had heard some lore that the red panel was pasted on the covers of the books because there was a misprint on the original covers....is this true or just malarkey?

Enjoyed reading the background behind Mr. Gertner's appearance. Lots of thought and effort into that performance, which I greatly respect. Although I think I prefer his classic C & B routine, I also think it's a smart move to customize the performance for P & T.

WTB: Original Stars of Magic in Binder

Looking for complete loose set of the original Stars of Magic (including the Vernon and Slydini Master lessons) in great shape. I'd prefer to have the original spring binder as well, but will consider purchasing just the issues themselves. Please PM if you have a set you'd like to sell. Many thanks!

I think the idea was very intriguing, and the article worth reading. Hollingworth and stage manipulation seem like a very natural fit--given his debonair manner and crazy chops in close-up as well, he'll be the modern day Fred Kaps.
