Re: Women in Hypnosis?

Frank and Diego, thanks a lot, tremendous and exactly what I'm looking for.:) Anyone else? It would be a shame if we were all so forward looking that we lost the roots of our art.

Re: Best Mentalism/ Psychological Hypnosis Resources

As a hypnotist myself I fully agree Mark, there's no hypnosis other than self-hypnosis. Unfortunately even many modern how to's are full of misinformation to keep the myth of hypnosis alive and well. There are only a handful of books that deal truthfully with it. McGill, Harling & Nyrup, and Ban...

Movies of old performances?

Sorry to slightly duplicate an entry I made into another thread, but after talking about women in hypnosis I realise that the market and number of performers in mentalism/hypnosis has shrunk massively in the last 40 years. Where there were once tens of excellent acts doing the cabaret and club circu...

Very interesting replies, I think the answe is simply that it depends who you are and who you're hypno...

Agreed. Clean and easy, and very convincing. Osterlind still has some of the best methods:)

Re: Mischief by Harling & Nyrup

I loved Sleight of Mind, possibly the best book on hypnosis I've read. The most truthful certainly. I got Mischief recently (as above, it's both Sleight of Mind and Geist together), I like it a lot. I'm glad to see that the hypnosis stuff has been broadened in it a good deal, the thinking is still c...

Women in Hypnosis?

Hi everyone, a first time poster.:) I'm intrigued. My main work is a kind of hypnosis/mentalism thing. I do a little bar work, small venues, some street work if I can get a nice day and a good feeling crowd. Recently I was discussing the hypnosis side of things with a mentalism friend, and we began t...
