This its a different discussion, cuz I wasn't talkin abut Ben's writtin' skills. I was talkin' about magic.
I haven't read Zero History but I can tell you without a doubt that magic is about what your audience think it happened. If they think you levitated, you did it.

Re: Run Silent Run Deep by Ben Harris
I believe the only thing that matters is what your audience think it happened. If you perform succesfully a trick where you happen to force to your audience one particular card, but in the end they think they could have selected any card it could turn into a miracle. The problem I had with SR is tha...

Re: Run Silent Run Deep by Ben Harris
Probably I haven't been too accurate when refering to "smart audiences". If you try to perform SR to magicians, that's an smart audience. If you are trying to perform SR to an analytical person, thats an smart audience. The Duffie Dodge finger thing its just something that will work with m...

Re: Run Silent Run Deep by Ben Harris
Steve Shufton contributions do not talk just about equivoque. If you have the problem I had (I've explained it in my last review) Shufotn's ideas can help you to perform succesfully SR. Steve explains with detail how he performs SR, and I believe there are really good ideas in his explanations than ...

Re: Run Silent Run Deep by Ben Harris
Hi everyone! I've just finished reading "Run Silent, Run Deep" from Ben Harris. Im not going to do a detailed review as Tom did, but I would like to focus on some ideas we can find in the book. The first thing, do you need to have "Silent Running" to perfom this trick (or any var...

Re: Silent Running by Ben Harris
Ben, I hope you can fill in the gaps for all of us in the sequel of SR, it is not going to be an easy job. I didn't mean to say that Cassidy's, Finley's, Banacheck's and Knight's audiences were dumb, of course not. They are all good reputation magicians who have been performing for a lot of years. A...

Re: Silent Running by Ben Harris
Bob,
Do you usually perform B. Deckronomicon?, do you sell it to your audience as an ACAAN ?(I mean, before you star the trick, do you tell your audience what you are about to do?)
One last q., which ACAAN method you consider to be the best one? (appart from Berglas)

Re: Silent Running by Ben Harris
Ben, I know what you mean, but i bet you to do this trick to a really smart person because then you will see it has not the great impact it is suposed to have (you can see, here in the forum and in other forums, that many people have the same problem with your effect). I liked crossroads and some id...

Re: New Book Coming on the Card Magic of David Berglas
Richard, is your book going to includ the method's used by Berglas to perform his ACAAN effect? When you say that we (refering to the lectors of the book) are not David Berglas, do you mean that we won't be able to perform this masterpiece as David used to? One last question, what is your favourite ...

Re: Silent Running by Ben Harris
Thank you Bob for all the information you have given about the "fishing" procedure. At the time im working on the Simom-Eyes trick. I found it very interesting and not as hard as Simon sais in the book! I found he has also worked on the ACAAN plot in his book "The Aronson Aproach"...
